How I Beat the Bloat. My Secrets to a Bikini-Ready, Flatter Tummy, in a Few Days.

How I Beat the Bloat. My Secrets to a Bikini-Ready, Flatter Tummy, in a Few Days.

So a few weeks ago I had a pool party to attend which meant I’d have to don a bikini.  Great.  I shouldn’t have splurged and had that frozen yogurt with hot fudge sauce and a touch of chocolate whatever that was that looked so delicious displayed in the showcase.   Well I wanted to look my best so I pulled out my “go to” plan of action.  Since the event was on a Saturday I started on the Wednesday.   I’d only eat this way for a few days because I’d get bored and I’d binge for sure.

Normally I eat 5-6 mini meals a day every day which helps to keep my blood sugar stable, energy high and metabolism burning.

But here’s a few secrets that I use to look my svelte best.

I reduced my intake of broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussels sprouts, onions, beans, apples and pears and I replaced them with more watery fruits and vegetables like lettuce, celery, cucumbers, grapefruits, watermelons, pineapples, melons, oranges and grapes. These helps to flush out my system.

I avoided sugarless gum and sugar alcohols. I always use Truvia to sweeten my Greek yogurt. I stayed away from carbonated drinks and sipped on peppermint and chamomile tea and water instead.

I avoided fast food and packaged foods like the plague because the sodium content is too high and I nixed the sea salt when I was cooking. I definitely added the sea salt back in after the party though.

I skipped carbohydrates like pastas, bagels etc. because 1 gram of carbs holds 3 grams of water so if I ate 1 whole wheat bagel for breakfast which has 35 grams of carbs I’d retain 105 grams of water. There’s 454 grams in a pound so if I were to add some pasta for lunch and a baked potato for dinner well that wouldn’t have been conducive to my plan. Instead I ate lean proteins like chicken breast without the skin and salmon.

I stayed away from fiber supplements because too much psyllium husk can lead to bloat if you don’t drink enough water.  I wasn’t taking any chances.

After eating like that for 3 days I looked and felt fabulous.  I slid into my bikini, rolled up on the party and I made sure to be seen looking flat ab-tacular and then I grabbed a fat burger from the BBQ.
